Working H Meats abides by the Humane Methods of Livestock and Poultry Slaughter Act and all USDA Livestock Slaughter Regulations. Our facility is staffed with a USDA Inspector on slaughter days and all animals are slaughtered under Federal Meat Inspection.
All records and inspection documentation is kept on site.
All cattle, sheep, swine and poultry are handled in a humane fashion and are rendered insensible with single blow that is rapid and effective. This is done before the animals are shackled hoisted, cast or cut. In all instances we work hard at reducing animal stress. Animals spend 24 hours in stalls with hay and fresh water to quiet them and calm them.
All butchering and meat cutting follows sanitary dressing procedures and packaging.
